Mit Listening at Pungwe

Pungwe mit Robert Machiri & Eiliyas

Wrapping up a series of recording sessions, which Robert Machiri conducted at Morphine Raum over the past weeks, he invites the audience to a night of listening and being together – a Pungwe. In this closing live recording session, Machiri will make use of some of the captchured material, which features Babtunde Agonglo, Michel Azagnadji, Xristian Espinoza, Asher Gamedze, Feven Joseph Kebede, Jonathan Kulo, Maurice Louca, Luka Mukhavele, Adelle Nketo, Elias O’Graversen, Tsepo Pooe & Sophie Rebstein.

As special guest for the performance and also to mark the final of this series of studio sessions (which Machiri refers to as rituals of conviviality), he has invited the feedback artist, Eiliyas, a Macon born, Atlanta bred, Berlin-based artist working with music, sound design, creative writing and conceptual art. Eiliyas also is host and curator of Mixtape Menage, a platform for becoming familiar with creators and cultural facilitators of the world through sound.
