LISTENING WITH OKKYUNG AND SAGE

Okkyung Lee (Fellow Music & Sound 2025) and Sage Ni’Ja Whitson (Fellow Visual Arts 2025) usher in the cozy season with a listening session at daadgalerie. Conceived by Okkyung Lee as the opening of a new series, this session is not about theoretical engagement with music, but about the joy of music itself: coming together and listening collectively.

Sage Ni’Ja Whitson and Okkyung Lee bring music to share – music that has influenced them, that reminds them of something special, or that simply excites and moves them. In sharing these pieces and the stories behind them, the two artists not only get to know each other better, but also offer the audience insight into their perspectives and ways of thinking, providing an intimate glimpse into their artistic practice.
