Fellow Files

The Fellow Files section provides an overview of selected documents from all retained, individual files of former program fellows. These records contain information on biographical data, application processes, and selection procedures of fellows in the various disciplines, as well as on their artistic careers at the time of application and during the fellowship. Correspondence offers a glimpse into the nature of many fellows’ engagement with the local scene as well as their artistic positions during their stay in Berlin and in subsequent years when joint projects were often realized. In many cases, photographs, printed matter on previous artistic projects, and reference materials on the work are included in the materials available here.
