ERIAC-DAAD Residency Program for Arts and Media
Starting in November 2025, the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program and the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) will jointly offer the ERIAC-DAAD Residency Program for Arts and Media. This long-term cooperation will enable one artist or cultural professional with a self-declared Roma identity to spend one month in Berlin each year. The program builds on a shared commitment to cultural equality and the empowerment of underrepresented voices in the international cultural sector.
Each year, the residency program will focus on a different artistic field. The first edition in 2025 was aimed at cultural professionals from fields such as visual arts, interior design, curating, exhibition design, art in public spaces, design, and architecture. The 2026 edition turns to literature and literary practices, with a particular focus on Romani writers, poets, and literary voices.
