INTERSPECIFICS: Consciousness Study Group
- daadgalerie
- research study group
19.05.2025 / 16:00 – 18:00
With Interspecifics
further dates: May 26, June 2+6
Why has the study of consciousness so often been left to the margins, dismissed as pseudoscience or parapsychology? What if art could serve as a bridge—connecting disciplines, ideas, and experiences—to illuminate our underlying interconnectedness? And what if sound holds the key to unlocking this shared understanding?
Interspecifics (fellows 2025) invite to join a study group delving into the work of contemporary research centers dedicated to the formal investigation of consciousness—institutions that have profoundly shaped the collective’s practice in recent years. To create a multicultural, practice-led experimental research group with locations worldwide, where we can share and integrate experiential insights on this topic.
Interspecifics will present their recent works related to their exploration of (the study of) consciousness. Above, they will present the research of one institute or research organisation at each date (see list below). As a basis for further discussion they will – together with the audience – conduct and experience one of the experiments that has been developed by the respective insitute.
No prior knowledge required, everyone is welcome to participate. Admission free. Please register informally for one or several dates via: borsche.berlin@daad.de
