Anup Mathew Thomas talks with George Jose about the books and the works in his presentation at daadgalerie. The conversation will be held in English and happen inside the exhibition space.
George Jose is Visiting Associate Professor of Anthropology, New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). His work explores metropolitan transformations in the global south, with a focus on precarious creativities in urban peripheries. He was Dean of the Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts (JDSoLA), NMIMS University, Mumbai; the inaugural Program Director for
Asia Society’s India Center; Programme Officer for Arts Education with the India Foundation for the Arts (IFA), Bengaluru; and Fellow of the Forum Transregionale Studien, Berlin. George serves collaborative arts projects in an advisory capacity, and occasionally acts in film and theatre productions.
