Sound artists Ragnhild May (2022 Arts & Media fellow) and Yara Mekawei (2021–22 award fellow) meet this evening for two solo sets in the intimate setting of Morphine Raum. Contrasted are two different approaches: Yara Mekawei will present an electronic live set based on numerical codes of the Book of the Death; Ragnhild May will perform her piece Music for Monsters (2020) for recorders and pneumatic system. Both artists, however, share an investigative and experimental approach to sound and a feminist attitude. An evening with two strong sound statements by current DAAD fellows.
