16.11.2023 / 19:00 – 21:00

With Lucía Alfaro, Felix Classen, Elena Kaludova, Yvette Mutumba, Georg Scherlin, Vincent Schier and Sonya Schönberger

Conversation about the exhibition interventions of participants in Yvette Mutumba’s seminar at the Institute for Art in Context at the UdK Berlin and artist talk with artist Sonya Schönberger, who realized the new work Barbara for the exhibition If The Berlin Wind Blows My Flag.

In the context of the cooperation with the theory-practice seminar “Archive Fever – Artistic Work with and in Archives” by Yvette Mutumba, the students have comprehensively and critically examined the archive of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program and developed artistic projects from it.

At daadgalerie, the artist Sonya Schönberger’s newly developed work Barbara formulates commentaries, proposals, and demands that are concerned with identifying and addressing past—and present-day—mechanisms of exclusion, the generation and (non-)recognition of knowledge, and notions of care and appreciation.
