9.-11.3. Opening Weekend

14.3. Addressing Climate Change

“An Aquarium”, a collection of poems by Jeffrey Yang, serves as the point of departure for presenting works of current and former BKP guests that focus on aquatic creatures and their interactions with humans. Also addressed are aesthetic strategies in the era of climate change and the exploitation of the world’s oceans.

The exhibition features works by Sam Auinger & Bruce Odland, Agnieszka Brzeżańska, Peter Cusack, Edith Dekyndt, Aurélien Froment, Douglas Henderson, Liz Magor, Allan Sekula, and Shimabuku, creating a framework for readings by Jeffrey Yang, Habib Tengour, and Sergio Raimondi, as well as discussions with composers Clara Iannotta and Peter Cusack, initiators of the online channel inhabitants, and biological oceanographer and managing director of the German Marine Research Consortium Rolf Peinert. Music and film contributions by former guests of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program Luc Ferrari and Allan Sekula round out the program.
