González Godoy

Claudia González Godoy (Santiago de Chile, 1983) works as a visual artist and pedagogical project manager in the field of art and technology and came to Berlin in 2017 for a month as part of a research fellowship.

Her work explores the notion of materiality of technological media and the relationship between high and low technologies, open hardware and DIY practices. She holds a degree in Art and Visual Culture from Universidad Arcis and a Masters in Media Arts from Universidad de Chile.

González Godoy was the director of the Chimbalab Art and Technology Laboratory Project (2008-2012), a local art and technology media lab project. She holds numerous workshops and lectures on electronic experimentation and DIY culture.

Furthermore, she has given a series of workshops and talks about art, open hardware, electronic experiments and DIY culture in different festivals such as LIWOLI (Austria), SOL (Spain), EEII (Croatia), FILE (Brazil), Sudex (Argentina), Tsonami (Chile) and BVAM (Chile), Festival de la Imagen de Manizalez (Colombia).
