Planetary Transitions: Potsdam Artist Residency (2025)
The 2007 Potsdam Memorandum calls on both science and civil society to tap into all sources of ingenuity and co-operation to address the daunting sustainability challenges of our time. The arts can provide unique insights that go beyond the scope of scientific analysis and policy development, as they challenge our views and open up new ways to work together towards the goal of a sustainable world, while fostering dialogue across cultures, epistemologies and territories.
The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, the City of Potsdam and the Research Institute for Sustainability – Helmholtz Centre Potsdam (RIFS) are jointly inviting international artists to engage artistically with the topic of sustainability as part of the BKP program ‘Arts and Media’. The program aims to promote exchange between art, science, politics and civil society and to facilitate global cooperation.
