A site for conversation, collapse, collision, creation, and community—an exhibition and series of public dialogues at Friche la Belle de Mai bringing together artists and writers to reimagine structures and relationships amid social and institutional breakdown.

Inspired by Jack Halberstam’s forthcoming book Anarchitecture After Everything and Claudia Rankine’s Triage, the project approaches collapse not as failure but as a generative condition for artistic and collective invention. Unworlding seeks new forms of coherency capable of holding collapse. Whether concerned with landscape, political structures, trans lives, or the body politic, the program aims to open forums for new modes of being within a moment marked by rising white supremacy, fascism, and oligarchic governance.
