14.10.2022 / 18:30 – 22:00

With Olga Bryukhovetska, Oleksandr Burlaka, Chris Ford, Iryna Kudria, Volodymyr Kuznetsov, Sergii Sabakar, Sean Snyder, Yevgenia Belorusets
Invited by Lada Nakonechna and Bettina Klein

Still on Maidan is the second event in the Peilung series—a communication platform at the daadgalerie offering Ukrainian artists, writers, filmmakers, and researchers the opportunity to share their work and initiate debates. In this edition, a discussion circle will provide the setting for examining the complexity of relations within public protests, taking as a starting point Olga Bryukhovetska’s text “Time and Again,” which was recently updated in 2022. Her first essay on the subject titled “European Spectres and Ukrainian Bodies, or What is Maidan?” originally published in 2015, was presented at the daadgalerie eight years ago when the war in Ukraine had just started. “Maidan is not just a place but a real alternative to the geopolitical perspective that excludes the agency of the people.” (O. Bryukhovetska)
