Pol Pi, a Brazilian transmasculine dance artist living in France and Valeska Gert Visiting Professor for Dance and Performance at the Freie Universität Berlin in the winter semester 2025/26, gives his final presentation on musicality as a relationship to movement, listening as a practice of connecting to intuition. “If sound is vibration and vibrations are waves of movement that constantly affect our bodies—our beings—then listening can take place both through our skin and through our ears, as long as we pay attention to it.”
