The Brazilian filmmaker and cinematographer Flora Dias (film fellow 2025) has selected two contemporary films about Indigenous peoples in Brazil that were both made collaboratively: O estranho (2023), which she shot herself with Juruna Mallon. The film delves into the lives of workers at Brazil’s largest airport, focusing on those who remain behind the scenes. As Director’s Choice fsk Kino will show the epic documentary Martírio (2016), a collaboration between Vincent Carelli, Tatiana Almeida and Ernesto de Carvalho.
