The 76th Berlinale, one of the world’s most renowned film festivals, opens on February 12, 2026. Several film fellows of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program will present new works there, showcasing the diversity of artistic voices that define the program.
Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz (Fellow 2004) returns to the Berlinale with his highly anticipated new feature Rosebush Pruning. The film premieres in Competition as one of the 22 films competing for the Golden and Silver Bears.
Bulgarian filmmaker Ralitza Petrova (Fellow 2019) will present her new film Lust in the Forum, a section celebrated for its focus on independent and formally adventurous cinema.

Turkish director Burak Çevik (Fellow 2022) will show İki Laborantın Yorgun Saatleri (The Weary Hours of Two Lab Assistants) in Forum Expanded, the Berlinale’s platform for experimental and cross-disciplinary practices. The short film Plan contraplan by Romanian filmmakers Radu Jude (Fellow 2023) and Adrian Cioflâncă will premiere in the Berlinale Shorts section.
