Through its concert series »Das Klatschen der zweiten Hand«, Labor Sonor is exploring the essence of composition and improvisation. Pieces by composer-performers – “real-time-music« – are interpreted anew by others. What types of transcription and translation can be found? Does the composer-performer remain autonomous? What forms of notation and instruction develop? In the first part of the concert, compositions by »The International Nothing« (Kai Fagaschinski & Michael Thieke, both clarinet) are re-interpreted by »The Still« (Rico Repotente, guitar; Derek Shirley, bass; Steve Heather, drums). The original performers will be present. The Labor Sonor concert is the second performance with Splittergruppe II.

Discussion – presented by Fernanda Farah, Christian Kesten, Arthur Rother
