Music theatre
Composition and concept: Clara Iannotta
Architecture: Anna Kubelik
Light design: Eva G. Alonso

With Johanna Zimmer (Neue Vocalsolisten), Truike van der Poel (Neue Vocalsolisten), Karin Hellqvist (violin), Emma Iannotta (dance), Chris Swithinbank (sound)

Two performance with 50 seats, reservation possible at bkp.berlin@daad.de, further tickets on site before the concert.

In Iannotta’s musical theater work, four vocalists, musicians, and dancers—trapped in the structures of a voluminous sculpture—simulate the contradictory conditions of an almost complete restriction of private (instinctive) needs, and inquire about the remaining options for action in conditions of absolute isolation. The situation is derived from the deep sea where two shrimps live isolated in a sponge.
