Wolfgang Suppan, born 1966 in Vöcklabruck, is a composer of instrumental and electronic music. He studied composition at the Musikhochschule in Vienna and did further coursework at IRCAM (Paris), in Salzburg and in Berlin. Since 1997 Suppan has been a lecturer in composition at the Musikuniversität Wien. Along with his intense involvement with computer-aided compositional forms (CAO) and electroacoustic music, his interests include interdisciplinary, at times evening-length projects involving film, dance and literature.
